About Us
At Disability Solutions Plus our main focus is creating a service to home, business and other organisations making life as normal as possible for people of all walks of life.
Grant Burgmann is my name – I am the creator and owner of Disability Solutions Plus my experience has come from over 25 years in the building industry and many more years of working and looking after my father who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 27 he is now 73. This disease has progressively changed his life which in turn we have progressively modified his home. The technology, knowledge and products available to us today has enabled both my father and mother to have a relative normal and fulfilling life at home.
Disability Solutions Plus prides itself on keeping up with the most updated products and not afraid of making near impossible jobs possible. As you can see when looking through our gallery disability alterations can still look very pleasing to the eye.

Ramps
Creating easy access for wheel chairs, motorised scooters, walking frames and all other household uses - Constructed in timber or concrete.
Stairs and Stair Conversions
New construction or renovation of existing stairs. Constructing or modifying stairs eg. making tread surface wider, reducing step height – making access safe and user friendly.
Grab Rails – Standard and Modular Form
Fitting grab rails to all household areas eg. bathrooms, front and rear access and toilet area. Using our modular system to areas that require made to measure grab rails due to limited fixing points.
Hand Rails- Standard, Freestanding and Modular Form
Fitting hand rails to all household areas internally and externally. Constructed in various materials eg. timber, galvanised and stainless steel tubing.
Shower Screen Conversion
Removal of existing shower screen door and shower screens and replacing with shower rail and curtain making access to shower safer and user friendly.
Hand-Held Shower Hose
Removing existing shower rose and replacing with all types of hand-held shower hoses – making shower user friendly whether you are standing or seated.
Tap Conversion
Removing existing taps and replacing with taps designed for safe and easier use.
Threshold Ramps and Wedges
Fitting of threshold ramps and wedges to areas that have trip hazards eg. doorways and change in floor levels.
Stair Nosing
This product is fitted to front edge of stairs eliminating slip factor – this product is available in a large range of sizes, colours and uses eg. glow in the dark stair nosing – Note: this product range covers domestic and commercial use.
Doorway Conversions
Taking a standard doorway and converting it into one that will cater for wheelchairs and other mobility equipment for easy access.
